## Registered with the ICO

Opti-Gen Core Systems Ltd is registered with the UK Information
Commissioner's Office as a data controller and pays the data
protection fee.

## What that means in practice

We are the data controller for the small amount of personal data
this site collects (the Get in Touch form and the two access-request
forms — the full list lives in the Privacy Policy). Controller
means the decisions and the responsibility are ours, not a
third party's.

## Lawful bases

We process personal data under UK GDPR Article 6 on exactly two
bases, matching how the site actually works:

- **Consent** — the box you tick before the contact form sends.
  Nothing is collected from browsing, so there is nothing processed
  without an action you take.
- **Legitimate interest** — answering the people who write to us and
  checking access requests against our private client list. That is
  the whole interest; there is no profiling or marketing behind it.

## Your rights under UK and EU GDPR

You can ask us to **access**, **correct**, **export**, or **erase**
what we hold about you, **object** to or **restrict** its
processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email
jamesb@opti-portal.tech or use the form's "Data deletion request"
type. We answer within one month, normally much faster, and we do
not quibble.

If you think we've handled your data badly and we haven't put it
right, you can complain to the ICO at
[ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint](https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint) —
that is exactly what the registration above is for.

## Where the detail lives

This page is the compliance summary. The working detail — what is
collected, the processing chain (self-hosted n8n → Resend → our
inbox), retention, and deletion — is in the Privacy Policy, Data
Protection, Information Rights, and Retention & Deletion pages, all
linked in the footer.

## Changes

When our processing changes, these pages change **before** the
feature ships, and the date at the top changes with them.
